We got to do chores for our barn owners tonight. I'm a child from the farm so it was actually fun! I got to see the excited calves come and chow down their food. It was nice to just be able to feed my horses and know that I really wasn't going to have to do anything else with them in this heat.
With the heat index today over 100 degrees they had sweat all over their faces, and the bugs - ugh the bugs. Fly spray and food = happy horses!!
They have a great pasture and besides our skinny-minny Hackney (she's 21+ years...we will never know how really old she is :) ) the other 2 only get a taste of grain just to get them to come and say Hi!!
Although it was hot - it was a good day to say "hi" to my big 4 legged kids. I also wanted to talk to J.W. and let him know that he's starting training this week and he should adjust his attitude by Friday or he was gonna have some problems :)
