<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="http://forum.equisearch.com/utility/FeedStylesheets/rss.xsl" media="screen"?><rss version="2.0" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:slash="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/slash/" xmlns:wfw="http://wellformedweb.org/CommentAPI/"><channel><title>ColtysHeart</title><link>http://forum.equisearch.com/blogs/coltysheart/default.aspx</link><description /><dc:language>en</dc:language><generator>CommunityServer 2007.1 (Debug Build: 20917.1142)</generator><item><title>Perfect Partner Training Facility and Hudson Bucking Bulls</title><link>http://forum.equisearch.com/blogs/coltysheart/archive/2007/11/27/perfect-partner-training-facility-and-hudson-bucking-bulls.aspx</link><pubDate>Tue, 27 Nov 2007 20:17:00 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="false">6880bf40-d9e2-4dfd-9289-aa3cb40116d4:275242</guid><dc:creator>ColtysHeart</dc:creator><slash:comments>0</slash:comments><wfw:commentRss xmlns:wfw="http://wellformedweb.org/CommentAPI/">http://forum.equisearch.com/blogs/coltysheart/rsscomments.aspx?PostID=275242</wfw:commentRss><comments>http://forum.equisearch.com/blogs/coltysheart/archive/2007/11/27/perfect-partner-training-facility-and-hudson-bucking-bulls.aspx#comments</comments><description>&lt;p&gt;Howdy!&amp;nbsp; I&amp;#39;m a new member from Oklahoma.&amp;nbsp; My husband and I run a small training facility that specializes in retraining&amp;nbsp; problem horses (bucking, spooky, etc.), breed and raise bucking bulls, and recently&amp;nbsp;my&amp;nbsp;12 year old daughter started&amp;nbsp;venturing into the open horse show arena.&amp;nbsp; Never a dull moment around here!&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;We own 6 horses -&amp;nbsp; Colty ( 6 year old Tobiano Paint Gelding), Sadie ( 8 year old Overo Pinto Mare), Doc (5 year old Black/White Shetland Pony Gelding), Brandy (15 year old Red Roan Paint Mare), Stormy (13 year old Buckskin Blanketed Mustang/Appaloosa Gelding), and Cash ( 5 year old Overo Paint Gelding).&amp;nbsp; Most of the horses have been given to me because of there behavorial or health problems.&amp;nbsp; Cash is the only one that was bought as a christmas present for my daughter.&amp;nbsp; Brandy is currently leased out to a 15 year old girl for her to show this Spring.&amp;nbsp; Sadie was my daughter&amp;#39;s show mount last year, but while she is the best tempered, biggest heart, forgiving horse, at 13.3 hands, she just can&amp;#39;t compete in the local shows.&amp;nbsp; Colty is my baby, he was given to me when he was a yearling.&amp;nbsp; A horse trader friend of mine bought a load of horses and when they arrived, Colty was down in the trailer and under the horses.&amp;nbsp; He was in such bad shape, that he couldn&amp;#39;t stand and was loaded with parasites and badly malnourished.&amp;nbsp; My friend couldn&amp;#39;t bear to put him down, so he gave him to me to see if I could save him.&amp;nbsp; Colty was a yearling but underweight enough that my husband and I picked him up and put him in the trailer to bring him home.&amp;nbsp; I named him a generic name like Colty because I didn&amp;#39;t think he would survive.&amp;nbsp; He had other ideas.&amp;nbsp; After many, many months and many setbacks, he is now a 16 hand 1150 lb wonderful horse.&amp;nbsp; I should have known he had a large heart because on his right shoulder is a spot in the shape of a heart that goes from his withers to his elbow.&amp;nbsp; That how he got the full name of ColtysHeart and how I got my member name.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Doc, is my son&amp;#39;s pony and I don&amp;#39;t know which one is more onery, and Stormy is the herd boss and a good solid mount for anyone.&amp;nbsp; Anyway I have rambled enough for now.&amp;nbsp; Bye!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;img src="http://forum.equisearch.com/aggbug.aspx?PostID=275242" width="1" height="1"&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
