The School of Life with Horses

A blog covering my journey with my quarter horses and paint horse. Horse show news from the Pacific Northwest, to do lists, horse tips as I learn and share them, my struggles and solutions - basically everything horse as I come across it.

Making Progress....towards show #1

My first AQHA show of the year for me will be next weekend in Pasco. I got my hats sorted out last night. Got the hat that I borrowed from my best friend ready to ship out today. Dropped off my show blouses to be cleaned - and really one I should sell, its a Showtime original blouse and a little on the older side but it doesn't have those STUPID french cuffs on it so I like it alot. May use it one more year looks good on Stretch.

I also got my watch fixed and am ready to mail a pre-paid package to Emmet, ID so the gal that has my new show blouse and ship it back to me.

I will drop off my good hat to get it shaped and cleaned today, was going to drop off my "B" game hat too but its really a lost cause by now, that's why its my "B" Game hat.

Now all i need is some more weather without rain or snow so i can work on my trailer. AM GETTING REALLY excited!!

Heard yesturday that both of my horses that are at my trainer's place were out and being ridden it made me feel good that they were doing well - but not really any more confident. Wish I had had some really good open shows on my back before going into this QH horse show - our shows up to this point have not been real pretty.

About inclined2ride

Live up in Northeastern Washington State - where its cold and we have snow for a loooooong time. Been riding horses since before I could walk - grew up doing the 4-H / FFA thing, and a lot of Open shows. Was educated in Western riding as well as English riding and Jumping. Survived college on Top Roman so that I could keep my horse up there with me. Am now all grown-up with a non-horse husband, and 3 horses to boot (technically 2 horses). I currently show on the local and regional Quarter Horse Circuit with a Paint Show thrown in when I can. Horses are as much a part of me as my arms or legs.
