  • Pics of My horse

    Hi all,

I have attached a photo of my mare, Sadie for all of you to see. I have also attached photos in "My Photos" section. If you can view them, please do. I look forward to your comments. And can anyone tell me how to rotate the photos? Three of the four I posted are verticals. I don't want to send people to the chiropractor if they're trying to view my photos :)

Sadie and I have had some good rides lately. The weather has been warm so she feels a little mopey when we go out. That's when we spend more time going close to the spooky stuff--cows, corn fields, junk, etc. Yesterday we went out bareback. We haven't done that for a month or so. But I tied the rope around her neck to hang on to so I wouldn't bang her mouth with the bit if she tossed her head. It ended up that I didn't use it. She was a little nervous and shied (stupid pheasant), but she stayed calm. GOOD GIRL, SADIE!!! She got a nice cool rinse and lots of treats for that!

Anyway, I've got a busy week, so if you have a question, comment, etc. I'd love to hear from you! I'll write back asap.

    Thanks!

  • Come and read my blog!

Hi, I'm Sadiesgal. I've never had a blog before, and, heck, this just seemed like a really cool new feature to Equisearch! My new blog is entirely about horses, namely my horse, Sadie. Sadie is a 12 year old Arab/Paint mare and we trail ride mostly western, but I ride bareback a lot too. I trained Sadie to ride and started her to drive myself. But I have some education in English riding and I once worked for a dressage trainer for a few weeks. I also would like to someday own a draft horse. I don't know why, I just like BIG horses!

Like most people, you probably wonder what my screen name "Sadiesgal" means. Translated into human speak: I belong to my horse, Sadie. And since I'm female, I am Sadie's Gal :)

As for me, I am 26 years old for a few more months. I live in Wisconsin. I am currently unemployed, but I am looking for the right job in marketing or graphic design--something with horses or animals would be great. I went to college in western Wisconsin and majored in Agricultural Marketing Communications and minored in Animal Science.

And since I am looking for a job, anyone out there who thinks I might meet their criteria for a position, feel free to send me a message! I would love to talk to you.

And feel free to post me a message, I'll talk about anything with horses! But beware, I might write about it in my blog. :)

Someday I'll get around to posting a picture of my horse...in the meantime, happy reading!
