    NAME MY...hatchlings...?

So I have two hatchlings right now...they are teensy tiny red-eared slider turtles. They are just a little bigger than a quarter right now. They'll get to be about 6-8 inches, but that will take about 7-8 years.

We won't be able to tell if they're male or female for about a year.

One is a brighter green and smaller than the other, and a little more shy. It takes me a while to get her to eat. I've been calling it Brangelina.

The other is a little bigger and more brown than green, and more of a "tough guy"...or girl. And eats like a pig. I've been callin it Fatty McFatterson, or Orson.

Since I don't know if they're m/f yet, I'm thinking I need names that are unisex...

    Tons of piccies follow.

these 2 pics are blurry, but just so you get an idea of how tiny they are...

Of course, then I get to take care of them.

    Isn't that how it works?

so then, are you admitting that the natural husband training isn't going so well in your own house that hottie hubbo keeps bringing home things for you to take care of? I tell ya - if you don't want the stud to reproduce then gelding might be worth considering. Grin Wink

Did I just go off topic and hijack - or just leave PG behind?? I wouldn't have done it with anyone but YOU, Cita, - I sweat it's true!! Grin

hubby likes to bring things home...

no amount of round-penning or rollkur has been able to solve this problem...(insert eye rolly thing here)

I'm afraid I will have to resort to something more drastic like this... although I'm not saying my methods are a complete failure...

I'm reading the disclamer to see if it can be applied to testicles....

Those are cute. I am sure that DH has many more plans for puppies, kittens, birds... I think that elect collar might work, although you might have to really lay on the treats to get it on him... hehehehehe.... I think he's gonna buck...

RE: the vice-breaker. It works on the element of "surprise and the unknown". I can think of a lot of ways to use these to my advantage. Cool
