    North Carolina Boarding Facilties??

If anyone who lives around Raleigh North Carolina knows of any nice boarding facilities that don't charge a arm and leg please let me know. I just moved here and am considering purchasing a horse in the future. However, most of the facilties in the area are really "high-tech" which I don't need. Any ideas??

How far are you willing to drive? I used to live in Southern Pines.

Well, I live in Apex (which is by raleigh), about a mile away from the intersection on 1 and 64. I'm not sure if you know where that is, but if you live nearby you probably do. I just moved here so I have no idea where Southern Pines is. I really don't want to drive farther than 30 min, but I might if the board is cheaper.

I am moving up to Durham soon, just W of Raleigh and trying to find stables in the Triangle area as well. Got no replies to my inquiry though. S Pines is a ways south of Raleigh. Mapquest it, it's down Hwy 1. I found a lot of websites that list names of stables in the Durham area -- of course the only barns that have websites charge like $600 in board, which I just say no to! I can send the sites to you if you want. What side of Raleigh do you live on?

    Re: North Carolina Boarding Facilties??

There is actually a yahoo group for North and South Carolina horse people. Some people emailed me back regarding boarding on that site, one was in fuquay, the other one was in apex, and then there was another one somewhere else. Anyway they were alot cheaper! If you want I will pm their email addresses. Let me know!
