    A couple possibilities to critique...

Well, some stuff that has been accumulating with Harley has finally dumped down on me. I won't go into details on here, because I'd only end up typing in all caps and crying... So, I have a couple horses below that I'd like your opinions on. I want to know what you think of their conformation and if you think their prices are too high/low. Thanks!

Meggie Pocos Chicks -- Quarter Horse

    Sweetie -- Quarter Horse

Well I myself like Sweetie. I'm newer to the world of horses but Sweetie appeals to me more. Just my opinion. Grin

I find myself leaning towards Meggie - she's attractive, has a decent pedigree, and price seems good.

Sweetie, tho' cute, seems pricey for a grade, and looks kinda short and fat in that pic.

    That's my 2 cents... Smile

The first one I won't even bother to critique, not fair to the horse. Those pictures are pretty much text book examples of how not to photograph your horse for sale.

The second, well a LOT depends on what you want out of the horse. She looks like a cute very stocky (and fat) pony. What discipline and goals do you have in mind?

If you scroll down the page on the first mare and go to Oakvales Misty look at her foal. I think the filly is super nice lookin! ok back to bussiness The Roan didn't do anything Specail for me and neither Did The first mare. I would pick the bay.

I cant view the first horse, says its currently unavilable..will try again later.

That said, Sweetie's photo is bad, she looks like a monster draft horse. Neck looks to short and thick for her body.

You run barrels and do games right? I wouldnt pick her for that, shes just to big to be competitive,IMO.

Sorry to hear of your troubles with Harley..would be happy to offer some insight if that would help Smile

Are you implying you're selling Harley and looking at these choices?!

Anyway, Meggie is actually very nice looking. But those photos have been manipulated in a strange way. They have that fish-bowl look to make her butt look massive.

I think Sweetie is over-priced. What were they thinking? She's gotta be in great condition if they're gonna put a price tag like that on her. And look at that pasture, there are tree stumps all over the place! Angry

Ah, Finally got to see the first mare..

Shes OK, conformationaly she looks better then the second mare. I am not a huge fan of her head, it doesnt look "marish" to me at all..

But if I had tp pick between the two, Id pick her for a gaming project. Bloodlines, nothing really notable, she looks foundation bred

If I were looking at theses two I would insist on correct photos right away before I even considered it more.

I'm beginning to think that I made a bad decision when buying Harley. The ear pinning around food, the don't-touch-my-ears-or-I'll-rear-and-kick-out thing, the cinchiness, the extreme buddy sour-ness (cause of my recent injuries), the fact that we haven't "clicked", and many other little things that amount to frustration and injuries.

Sorry about Meggie's link not being available. I'll e-mail the owner and see if (s)he has any side pictures of her.

As for Sweetie, I agree that is a chunker and her price is rather high. The picture isn't the best either.

    My uncle has a saying..

"Costs just as much to feed a horse you don;t like as one you do"

You need to do what is right for you

I'd pass on both of the horses...

Meggie appears to be long backed (bad for gaming), and big butted... don't like her head, but it's hard to tell. I'd need much better photos.

Sweetie is just that... she looks sweet, but not at all good for gaming. Maybe for a little kid to ride on in the pasture, or for trail rides... but she's fat and looks prone to founder too. Maybe she already has.
