Our TB mare foaled this mornning.  A great big chestnut colt.  Mom is doing fine and demanding MORE FOOD.  The colt is still wet and less than a hour old in the pics.

We're thinking of calling the new kid COPPER.  This is going to be one BIG guy.

He does have a small star.  We'll have wait and see if he has any socks.  So far we are calling him Copper.  I hope to have more pics of him soon.

Very very cute!!! He does look like he's going to be a big boy.  Your stallion is gorgeous by the way.  Lucky you, you get a baby now.  I have to wait till May

Thanks for the compliments.  You only think I'm lucky.  I'm being tortured.  I live 650 miles from the horses.  They live at my Mom's place in NC while I sweat in South Florida.  And they are VERY slow about new photos.  Our next foal is due in April but she may go a bit earlier maybe the end of March.

OHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! My goodnes, he is so sweet, all knobby knees and legs. It's got to be the neatest thing to watch him grow. 

What a beautiful colt! I love is big, knobby knees! Copper sounds like the perfect name for him.
