I was hoping for the Mother's Day thing.... she's got two hours left for that....

And funny, on my marestare thread it was mentioned the 445 day thing, and I sure hope she is NOT going for that record!!!

Her teats no longer touch!!! She does NOT want me messing with them anymore. She BIT ME the other day!!! So I don't test much, unless I feel a reason to. And then I tie her up! So tonight she tried to kick! BAD GIRL!!!!

So, as you could imagine, I wasn't able to get much out ;) I got a big drop on my finger and it didn't roll down though, so I thought YAY sticky! But it didn't feel sticky when I rubbed my fingers together... who knows!

STILL NO BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I start my week of work tonight... sigh...

 Just watched Casi give birth. Congrats on the new addition!!!!

That was a SCAREY birth!!! I saw a leg, tried feeling to make sure presentation was correct... and felt the nose! NO OTHER LEG!!!!!

Told Craig to grab a halter and get her UP! In the meantime I broke through the sac and tried to halt progress by keeping him pushed in between contractions. Then I didn't think we were going to get her up! But finally she did, and I was able to reach in...

BOY is that scarey! I had no clue what I was feeling in there... I knew where his nose was and the one leg... kept trying to find the other leg... then I saw her rectum bulging, reached up and THERE WAS THE FOOT! Got it down, and we were ok... I tried helping her with her contractions but we weren't getting far until she laid down, then I helped pull him out... at that time I didn't think he was alive! I was worried! But then saw his eyelid move!!! WHEW!!!!!!
Passed her placenta. I gave her some banamine after that since she seems sore (no doubt!). Baby passed his meconium. Had a hard time finding the milk bar, but finally managed. It's chilly out there and Casi didn't lick him dry so he's got a jacket on. A little big, but it'll do. I was worried she wouldn't let him nurse, but she did. I tried to help him find the nipple, he did NOT like that, reared up!!!!  I think he's bigger than two week ok Sierra! LOL

Craig long ago named him Jackpot, but he's having second thoughts... said he looks like a dice b/c his right side consists of 3 spots. His left side looks like Casi

Congrats!  No wonder she didn't want to give birth..he's so big!  What a cutie, too...I was so glad to peek and see a baby..now I can get on with my life...oh, no...there's Ruby yet!!!

Hooray!!!! I had to do a double take there was a colt with a blanket already on  and i missed it again. So glad things went well. Looks like Casi is a good mom,love the pics, looks like love!

WELL IT'S ABOUT TIME CASI. Congrats Jessi. He is a cutie. Unfortunately I missed this one too. My computer was acting up so i had to shut it down last night.  I'm glad they are both doing well. I read your description of the birth, and OMG that was scarry. I'm glad everything turned out and she's being a good mommy. I'm glad we didn't make that bet offical about Ruby going first.LOL   

YYYEAAAHHH!!!! FINALLY!  Of course I missed it-- had a rehersal last night.  OH WELL LOL~  he's pretty big, you sure he's a mini?  And what a champ you are for being midwife!

Ok, here's the video! :) She missed the beginning, so this starts right after I got the second foot positioned correctly.  She also edited, to cut out nothingness (if that makes sense... when nothing was going on) so there are a couple jump spots in it.

He's adorable!  And strong work with that scary birth!!
