Two geldings are fighting over "herd stallion" rights. One is ours, the other a boarder. There are three mares: two large draft crosses and a petite quarter horse. They're both after the petite QH. They haven't ever bothered with the drafts.
I didn't realize that geldings have a preference for "models". The other geldings couldn't care less, except to get out of the way of the fenceline currently separating the two lust strucks.
Now we have to play musical paddocks and figure out who can be mates and how far these dingbats need to be away from Jazzie so they'll behave. Geldings!! I suppose they're no different from some men I know who, having had vasectomies, feel liberated from the consequences of possibly getting their girlfriends pregnant. Of course the men can still rise to the occasion naturally or otherwise be medicated.
The geldings drop limp. Good thing there's no equine Viagra. Or is there? How about an anti-Viagra?
