I have a 9 years old morgan( almost 10). I was woundering if anyone has any experience with morgans? She is a western working morgan, and is colored. Her comformation is ok. She has peigon toes and a shork neck. Her croup is pretty flat, but manages to lift her back nicely when I ride her. She is a energitic mare, and she can get tense. She is a big mover, she overtracks nicely when her back is up. In canter she overtracks by 2 feet!! She is really sweet, and fun!!!!

I was wouldering if any one has morgan experience?

My only morgan experience (besides that being my neice in laws name hehe) is I knew someone who had one...

But I think they're beautiful! And yours is no exception :)

I don't have a whole lot of experience with morgans (we do own one purebred, and two partbred morgans), but from what I know they are pretty much like you describe your mare to be. Ours are all very energetic and can go all day no matter what you're doing (for us, that's usually trail riding in the mountains). They are also pretty big movers - got some pretty large strides! They all seem to be intelligent, and are very kind towards people. The one's we have are all awesome horses, which seems to be typical of the breed.

The gelding in my sig is my second Morgan, but I don't claim to know too much about them. Conformationally he's correct. Though he's got a thick neck. I really love the way he moves. He's also got a fantastic temperment. And so smart!

I show a GREAT morgan gelding, who is from DFM Keep the Faith, you can look him up online he is beautiful! He is his first foal, so his name is DFM Faith's first Impression, we call him Nick. He is a wonderful horse, has been to worlds and taken champion saddleseat, hunt seat, and halter. He's a great guy, does it all! Even Team penning, can spin on a dime, and definantly a big mover, I love morgans. I think my next horse will be a morgan, or a morgan arab cross. :)

Well, thats not that bad, Lila has a little neck! One of the reasons that I started this thread was because she doesn't look like a morgan! She has been mistaken for a tb arab cross, but that could be her temperment.

 I'm pretty new to horse ownership (almost 2 years) but I own a very sweet 12 year old Morgan gelding and I board in a barn of mostly Morgans.  Mine is pretty Morgan-type 14.3 hands, very smart and of course I think he's beautiful.  There is a wide range of temperments within the Morgan population at "my" barn from ones with a great work ethic to some who will work if you really ask but will take advantage of you if they can!  All of them are quick learners and fun to be around.  I have to say after watching them work, play and just stand around being beautiful, I think I will always have a Morgan as long as I have a horse!

Just my 2 cents! 

I used to own a half Morgan/half QH mare. She looked mostly Morgan except for a rather (pardon the pun) big "horsey" head! She was very energetic but also very sweet and would go for hours on the trail. Like most Morgans, her goal in life seemed to be to please her rider!!
