    Shopping for a Horse!

I have found these three horses for sale and would like to know what you all think of them.

^ I have not yet herd from the owners of this guy.  He *is* out of my price range but they might be negotiatable?

^ the black TB gelding named Lucky.  Havn't heard from these people yet either.

and a vidio of him jumping

^ I really want to go see this guy, but I'll have to convince my mom that it's worth the 4 hour round trip.

    Thanks!

p.s. I'm sorry I couldn't get the links to work, but you might be able to copy and paste them?

    Re: Shopping for a Horse!

First one -- can't really tell anything from one headshot.  He sounds nice, but hard to say.  Also, I'm always annoyed when people only fill in a couple random horses on the pedigree when you know they have the full pedigree if they have his papers.  But that's just a pet peeve.

Second one is a very downill mover -- but that could be exacerbated by the fact that in every picture the girl riding him is leaning forward and staring down.  He looks very bored and his back end is always very strung out behind him.  I don't know what you want to do with this horse -- I wouldn't buy him for a dressage prospect, but he could make a trail/light pleasure/hunter if he can wake up under a good rider and start moving forward a lot more.

I like the third one best -- looks like he could be a decent mover with some energy to him.

     Thank you for posting!

I'll be really excited  if I can get my mom to drive me to see the third.  You are right about the energy.  The owner says he is very forward.  I just hope it's not to much energy for me to handle.  Silver has jumped to 2' 6 which I can't imagen wanting to jump higher than that anytime soon.   He does have a wire scar on one of his back legs, owner says he should pass a vet check though.  I hope I get to go look at him soon. =)

    Thanks!

I just got an e-mail, and the third horse (silver) has been sold.Crying

I do hope I will find my "perfect" horse soon.

Don't worry, there are literally millions of great horses out there for sale.  Try not to get too attached to any over the internet -- it's when you meet them in person that the magic really happens!
