OMG!! My appy LOVES my farrier....in fact my appy loves everyone! He is the most easy going guy I have ever worked with. But that is more his personality than his breed. There is no way where we are right now that she could go barefoot. Her hoof would just fall apart, you should have seen what happened when she just lost her shoe. 2 weeks after farrier was here, he couldnt make it down for a week. He almost couldnt put a shoe back on so much had fallen off. And that was with an easy boot. The barn where we are is soooooo wet. My farrier told me the first time I met him that me coming from Colorado, I was going to HATE the spring time here. I guess I just need to find a way to keep her hoof sealed....to prevent the soggy and then bone dry transition. I need to order that stuff that booslier suggested.
