    Please Critique Arabian Mare

    Look back on our struggle for freedom,
    Trace our present day's strength to its source;
    And you'll find that man's pathway to glory
    Is strewn with the bones of a horse.

     LOL.  Not many people are on here on the holidays or weekends.

    I think she is very pretty but none of the photos are really good to critique from.

    The first picture does not show her well.

    Nice eye, good legs, nice muscle in the rear. A little fat but some good conditioning would help there. I would like her in my barn as an endurance prospect.....  Big Smile

    I'm not sure as to breeding conformationally wise and all that. BUT I do know that there are tons of extra horses.  Why not go get a baby from somewhere else?

    i breed to sell, not to keep. also, it would be a high end baby for the show ring and a possible breeding future. the studs possible buyers might actually be interested in it after born. if it was going to just be for me, i would definitly just go and buy one. Wink

    Re: Please Critique Arabian Mare

     As I understand it (and I'm NOT an arabian expert), arabs are supposed to be shorter in the back and longer in the neck. Your little mare, looked rather long through the back to me with a weak neck, almost ewe-necked, although it could have been the angle of the video. She also looked a little heavy in the head for an arab  although that could be just in comparison to the slightly weak neck, She  looked a little back at the knee to me in one picture.

    I think she is a sweet little mare but she doesn't jump out at me as being an ideal brood mare based solely on her confirmation. However, if she has a super temprament or is particularly tallented in a discipline that would definitely sway me in her favour.
