*SNORT* You're telling me! After riding in a Western saddle for a few years I bought myself one of those English dressage saddles.

Had to admit it was a bit different!

LOL at both of you. I've spent my life in an english saddle, borrowing my daughter's western saddle is an act of surpreme bravery for me..... y'all ride with them stirrups waaaay too long.

Well ya all ride with them stirrups way to short! NOW you sound like my daughter. MOM this western saddles soooooooo uncomfortable, I can't feel the horse, the horse can't feel me thru all this leather waaaawaaaaaaawaaaaaaa

Well dangit, I feel like I"m riding on my tippy toes.... hmmm..... think it's got anything to do with her being about 4" taller than me??? (She has got the longest legs I've seen.....)

Lauryn started out riding in a western saddle, I will never forget the first night in the English saddle, we thought she would come off of it when she went in to the canter, but she was completely at ease. Now she's so use to it if you put her in the western she does nothing but complain!

Shorten them??? I didn't know you could do that on a western saddle......
