Well they usually have a little article readers send in about using items for horses that were not necessarily intended for horses originally to save money, and I thought that would be a good one.

. . .and ride that pony fast
like a cowboy from the past
be young and wild and free
    like Texas in 1880. . .

    Soft rubber curry--maybe $2.

Ivory dishsoap-somehow gets my paints white, dissolves manure stains, won't dry out a coat, and was recommended by a vet for washing wounds--maybe $3.50

Shapley's white touch-up spray-so much easier than chalk or baby powder--$10

Mane Mousse-fantastic for braiding and banding-gives you a good grip on the mane, and helps it set flat against the neck when used with a sleazy hood-$10

Hoof Polish and the Enhancer from Ultra-I think it shines better and lasts longer than any other brand I've tried-$20 for the two combined

MTG-I'm totally in awe at how this can grow hair just about anywhere-$15

Superbands from Healthy Hair Care-you get a lot more of them per bag and i think they're harder to break than other bands $7
