Thank you for saying my babies are beautiful! And believe me they were covered in mud when I started. It has rained several times in the last little bit and Pheo has taught everyone how to mud wrestle
. Thank God it is still warm enough to bath them. Iusually spend one of my days of bathing, brushing, braiding, etc.
Miss_Versatility: just wondering why did you put a reg. saddlepad under your bareback pad? i've never seen that
Well he is kind of in between holes on the girth for the moment. Putting a pad under it helps because it brings him back to the previous hole and holds it in place without me having to tighten it too much.
And just to brag he has never had a problem with the bareback pad. The first time I put it on him he stood there like he had done it his whole life. He has become my pack horse. I ride Pheo and pony Diesel and Diesel carries the saddlebags with drinks and snacks. About 2 miles down the road from my house there is a set of railroad tracks and the grass there is up to the horses shoulders. I have been taking them down there and just letting them chow down. They love our trips!
