    Re: Season's Greetings

OH, cm, hope you can keep the anxiety at bay until Friday.  I have already said a prayer that all will be fine for all of you.  Sometimes doctors are overly-cautious, but better to be that way.  Will keep you, dd and baby in my positive thoughts and prayers.

Lucy, glad to hear you made it to a warmer climate.  Hope they have lots of DP in Texas.  Sh, cute pics again.  Your dd is so adorable, especially in that dress.  Thanks for the info on Challenge Day.  Wendy, you and Spirit both look happy and wonderful in your pics.  So pretty!  But looked like you were shivering, LOL.

I only have 4 days left to get ready for our trip to CA, and still no one to house sit and feed the dog and cat!  Yikes!  At least we have the horses taken care of.  TTYL!

Heaven would no heaven be, were a horse not waiting there for me.

    CM, praying for your DD.

rr, sorry to run out of chat on you yesterday.  Darn customers. lol.  I don't sell "my" stories because they are just stories I get in e-mails.  I just post the ones here that I can get away with.  I get others I'd love to post but they would probably get me banned.

SH, way to go letting the kids hang out together.  Although, I know how our roads were Saturday night so all I can say is you are a brave woman, and a loving mother driving in that crap.

KCS, I'm sorry to just be hearing about your mom but I'm glad my story helped.  This will be a tough time but you will be able to get through it.

OK, gotta go get a present ready to ship this morning TTYL

    Hi Kids,

CM, you and your DD are in my thoughts and prayers. I know it's hard waiting, but I'm sending you lots of hugs to help you make it through the week. {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}} Left HugRight Hug

SH - Gosh it's such a shocker to know that you obey the rules, as long as you get your way in the end. LOL I love the pictures of your DD. She must act just like you, I can see it. Wink

KC - I'm sorry for your loss. This will be a hard holiday season for you. Just remember all the good times, but let the tears fall, it will do you good.

I just got an e-mail from a woman (Emily) who has to sell a mare that I used to own. I guess the horses were on leased land and the land owner is "crazy" (her words, not mine) and they have to get their horses off, and she has to sell off 2 of them. This mare is possibly pregnant by either her paint stallion or from a buckskin mustang. The mustang was at the place where the mare was prior to Emily buying her. She is going to list her at $1500 but would sell her to me for $1200. I had to bite my tounge in my response to her e-mail. Does she think I'm crazy????? This mare is an 28 yr reg QH. But she was declared dead at 25 by AQHA. Nobody wanted to take the time to let AQHA know that she was infact still alive. Emily does not have conformation that she is even pregnant at all. She never had her checked. She threw her out in the pasture with her stallion and never saw her come into heat. This mare is a wonderful mare, but I'd be crazy to consider this offer. I'm not able to take the mare anyways but seriously why would I want an aged mare who may possibly be pregnant with who knows what. I will now worry about the future of her.

    This is the mare. http://www.nekodastables.com/chargingsage.html

Re: Riding in the HOT SUN!

     Merry Christmas everyone!

Wendy - good to hear from you great picies!

SH - I would expect nothing less from you than to follow directions but not follow directions!

Sprague - sure hope the mare finds a safe/happy place to be!

KC - wishing you the best through this holiday as you take the time to remember your mom through it!

CM - my thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughter - so often they scare with these things and it does not end up being a real issue at all, a friend of mine went through just that recently and it was nothing after much worry on her part.

Well work is in transition a bit they are still putting together the new desks we will hopefully have a place of our own by the end of the week - I will be starting my regular schedule tomorrow (12:00 - 8:30). It will make a mixed up week due to  an extra event on  Thursday we will have Rex Johnson  (lending  guru)  in to speak to us so I will be going in Thursday (9:00- 12:00) which should be my day off and I will work full days Friday and Sat from 12-8:30 (regular schedule). They have us doing our thing with a Sr. UW checking everything probably for awhile before they really turn us loose. Then there will be more training on different platforms. So for the last 2 days there have been 2 decisions out of approx 24+ that I was corrected on - so I guess thats not too bad for starters. I will get my first full check tomorrow (82 hours)thats a good thing at least.

SS, happy for you at your new job!  I have been sitting on my rear for two days reading and watching television on the net...What a waste of time...Finally got to work this morning(with a pony club break,) sure feels good...Sometimes the old Mr. Can't Monster just leaps on me, pins me to the ground(makes me feel sorry for myself,) and i just don't feel like doing anything...

I am slowly but surely getting things done, funny how I can be such a hopeless lazy ass sometimes.

Enough.  Will try to follow your good example...rr

Hey guys and gals and those that are in between, Wink

Just wanted to let you know that I got my furniture delivered and wow, it's so comfy. Dh and I both fell asleep in it last night. He had the couch, I had the love seat. And nothing ended up on back order, so the living room is full!! The dogs were a little ticked and pouted because they now have to act like dogs and sleep on the floor instead of us. We even left the old chair for them to sleep in, but because it's not in the same room, they won't sleep in it. LOL No pictures, the batteries are dead in the camera and I didn't feel like replacing them.

Got this little e-mail about Martha Stewart from RhythmsMom. I told her to get herself back here because we are now all addicted to chat. LOL

An Equestrian "Martha Stewart" Style Christmas

    1. Take red and green tape and covers your horse's halter for a festive
    look
    2. Trim your horse's hooves with pinking shears and stencil a different
    holiday picture on each hoof.
    3. Tie ribbons on the muck tub and decorate the handle with bells.
Whenever your horse poops, skip up the aisle shaking the tub, humming "Here
    comes Santa Claus."
    4. Spray paint the pitchfork gold and decorate with raffia and holly.
    5. Place a fresh lemon slice in your horse's new silver water bucket.
    6. Stamp out carrot and apple treats with copper cookie cutters and
decorate with royal icing and a number 2 rosette tip.
    7. Collect mane and tail hair and hang in wire baskets outside the barn
    for the birds.
    8. Let the farm dogs drink egg nog from the toilet bowl.
    9. Restuff all your pillows with horse hair saved from body clipping.
    10. French braid your horse's tail intertwining red, gold and green
threads, and make him wear a Santa hat.
    11. Dress up like Santa. Put antlers on your horse. Hitch him up to
manure spreader and drive around the farm yelling "on Donner, On Blitzen etc."
    12. Use fresh manure to form manger scene figures. Use manure from your
best horse for the Christ child.
    13. Decorate yourself, your horse and your tack with Xmas tree lights.
Use methane from your most flatulent horse to power the whole system.
    14. Soak your white polos in starch. While still wet, form into angels.
When dry, hang up around the barn.
    15. Coat the barn cats in Elmer's glue and roll in red and green
    glitter.
    16. Take the chain harrow and spell out "Merry Christmas" in your
neighbors hay field so people in airplanes can read it.
    17. Change cross ties in barn to braided red licorice. Hot glue candy
    canes at 3 inch intervals.
    18. Fill the automatic waterers with hot buttered rum.
    19. Hang mistletoe over the stallion's door and let all the "girls"
    stop by for a kiss.
    20. Train your geldings to write "Merry Christmas" in the snow!

Re: The Weather Outside Is Frightful...

Hello Everyone!  I am sorry I have missed so much lately.  DD had finals so comandeered my computer, there was the endless parties we both gave and attended, shopping, cleaning, packing, etc.   Plus ES was giving me fits everytime I checked in.  I don't handle frustration well...  Enough excuses.

KC, I understand you lost you mother, I am so sorry.  We will be thinking of you over the holidays.  Try to remember the fun and the joy, she would want you to.

I hope everyone else is well, loved your pics.  Hopefully I will catch you all in chat today, otherwise I am off to California tomorrow for the holiday.

If I miss you guys....Merry Christmas everyone!  Bonne Noel...Feliz Navidad... Happy Holidays, eh? (For the Canadians), Gather round the Christmas Bush, Mate (for AMM), and so on.
