    Introducing Addie :)

My 3 yo AQHA filly arrived this morning at about 2:30 :) This is a camera phone pic - I've been too crazy busy with the other horses to get out to the pasture with a real camera - so it's a little blurry as it was 2:30 and I wasn't overly concerned with perfection ;) She's settled in nicely with one of my broodmares (the grey in the stall) - who she knew from MT 3 years ago. I helped foal her out and did her initial handling before turning her out as a 6 month old - and she now is back in "domestication." Good to see how nice she is turning out! Her trailer ride was a little longer than it should have been - 8 days - it was supposed to be 2-3, but another horse on the trailer coliced and they stopped for him - he is doing fine now.

But she got off fine, has a great appetite, drinking and pooping and only has a very minor fever which actually went away when I chopped her mane off - lol she was a wiiiiiiild poneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey Big Smile

I can hardly wait to get on her this coming week - she hasn't forgotten a thing since "childhood" and even was fine with me laying across her back today :) but no actual "work" for a few days until she's totally recovered from her recent field trip adventure!

Awww, thanks - she's fresh out of the mountains about a week and a half ago - my farrier did her feet real quick, the vets drew blood, and the shipper picked her up! Looks pretty good for not having been touched (other than vacs) since Dec '08 huh?
