Yes it has been a long time...Nice to see someone of the gang out there still....Things have been not good  then little better....one of those things where a computer was a  luxery item that I just could not afford for quite a while...but now I'm back...

Yes I still have Patch, he's about 22 now...still just as onery as ever...His health has been very good....Dispite the stitches for all his onery ness that he gets in to like Dennis the Menise(spelling?)....

Are any of the old gang still around?....like wvridgerunner & I sorry I don't remember the lady's name in PA or the one in Texas.....Do you?  And the lady that jumps the Gyspy vanner in I think canada....

    Thanks for the reply.....Later....Vivian

Your Patch sounds like my Annapolis.  He's 32 now and really is a character.

We do still have some former members around, but I don't think I've seen the ones you mentioned recently.

Welcome back, patch, and here's a tip -- the ES forum is ABYSMAL in IE, the login links don't show up and it crashes constantly.  Firefox or Google Chrome seem to be the ticket for browsers to keep the forum up and running.

I'd bet that if your PC is that old, it will be unable to use Chrome. I'm not sure what browsers Firefox needs now. Maybe you need an upgrade to your operating system, which would be cheaper than a new computer.

    Solaris:

     the ES forum is ABYSMAL

I read that and thought -- Gee, tell it like it is why don't you?  And then I realized you were referring to how it runs in IE.

I use Firefox for about everything now on my home computer.  I just got an iPad for my birthday, but unfortunately, although I can access the forums and can hit the reply button, the virtual keyboard won't pop up when I'm in here.  Works everywhere else but not here.  Figures.....

    Hello

I'm not sure what Firefox is I've been away from pc's for quite awhile now and I know a lot has changed out there.....I really don't have a lot of cash to spend on programs...

I did update my windows xp service pack one to newer w/service pack two....which probably helped because before I could not run AVG-Anti-virus 2011 now I can....

Maybe the virtual keyboard doesn't like here.....lol...

It was hot and humid here today....When it's 90 out put a torch in your hand and it jumps up to at least 120 easy....Then stand in the full sun on top of it...I do have a good tan this year again thou.....lol......

I'm not sure what ABYSMAL in IE is....Could be slow because my AVG surf shield checks every page....I never had that before w/other virus protection......Google Chrome???? Been away from pc's for awhile.....at least I didn't forget too much of my typing skills...lol.....Thanks!!

Abysmal in IE just means that these forums do not run well in Internet Explorer.  It's something to do with the way they run (forms-based) and the way Internet Explorer handles that -- that's why it can take so long to load the pages in Internet Explorer.

Firefox and Google Chrome are both FREE browsers, alternatives to Internet Explorer or Netscape. You can download them at www.firefox.com  and at www.google.com/chrome
