    Road Side Assistance Program?

Does any one recommend a road side assistance program for equestrians that trailer?

I'm looking into USRider, and it seems like a good program, but I'm curious to see what others have (if any).  We have AAA right now but they don't cover horse trailers at all.

AAA does cover horse trailers, campers and other tow-behinds. But you have to sign up for the RV towing coverage. And they will not tow any trailer with livestock IN it. USRider is your best bang for the $$$, IMO. ~FH

Sorry that's really what I meant (no towing of trailers that have the horses in them...) or any type of related help.  I don't usually haul an empty trailer :)

US Rider is great -- I HIGHLY recommend them and have used them several times.  I wrote a review here:

And sorry, fh, but AAA will not touch your horse trailer with a 10-foot pole, not even under the RV plan.  Before I had USRider, I had AAA and when my truck broke down on one cold November night on the side of the interstate, they happily offered to tow my truck--leaving trailer and horse there in the dark.  Even if I got another trailer to pick up horse, they would still NOT tow the trailer.  Of course, I didn't give a darn if they set fire to the stupid truck -- what I cared about was standing in the horse trailer!  It was horrible and there are many others who have had similar experiences.  I got home, immediately canceled my policy, and called USRider.

When they pick up the phone, their first words are "Are you and your horses safe?"  THAT is what I want the priority to be!

That is good information to know!

We had blown a tire on the truck (we also had the camper on and hooked to the trailer) and the AAA dispatch made sure that we knew that the trailer was not covered.  I'd just like a little more help than that when we need it!
