 When I still lived at home in England, there was good TV coverage of equestrian events - Hickstead, Horse of the Year Show, Olympia etc.  Nick Skelton was one of my favorites back then and that was 30 years ago.

In the story, he says he really doesn't like to do Puissance any more but he did it because their weren't many entries and he wanted to make a good show for the organizers.

That was great, thanks! I love watching the Puissance, to bad there aren't more people doing it.

 What's funny is that my dad still watches show jumping on TV in England.  I just got an email from him this morning that he was sitting watching the Horse of the Year Show on TV.

He said "What a blast from the past,I'm sitting watching Robert Smith and John Whittaker in the jump-off. It takes me back to when you would be lying on the carpet with your face about two feet from the screen watching their fathers competing against each other."

Ah - those were the days! LOL!

That bareback Puissance is amazing.  I can't imagine doing it with a saddle - let alone without.
