I was reading an article on the bus in to work this morning, in Practical Horseman. I thought it said something about the cross country jumps all being temporary and some other measures being taken to protect the land. Apparently, local residents around Greenwich Park had opposed the use of their park for the equestrian events so some compromises had to be made. I can't quite picture some of the measures - raising up the track etc. I'll have to read the article in more depth at lunch time and, of course, I'll be watching TV coverage when I can to see what it's all about.
