    Possible Horse?

My mom and I realy like her but I want to know what ya'll think. I'm willing to wait a long time before she is old enough to ride.

How experienced are you at riding and starting horses?

For the same amount of money, you can get a fun, safe, registered horse that you can immediately ride.

I also think she is overpriced since she is not registered, nor registerable. She is a pretty color.

She sounds cute, but be prepared to put in some serious time and energy and money into raising her before you can ride her. It all depends on what part of horse ownership you enjoy best and what you are good at. Note: I have seen some "well-imprinted" horses that are so imprinted, they think they are people and reprimands and requests for respect just don't work because it doesn't phase them. So I approach that phrase with caution.

    Re: Possible Horse?

She is cute, has eye appeal, but one major thing sticks out to me; She has horrible hind end alignment. She is very hock high, seems camped out, is cow hocked, and has very long upright pasterns.

I think you can find a much better choice, and for a much better price; if they will go down on her price, yes, she may be worth it, but when I see a horse with a hind end like that, I would pass...it is doubtful she would be able to really drive from her hind end well, and depending on what you want to do with her, this will make or break what you spend on her; every discipline, requires a certain amount of drive from the hind end, unless you are looking for a trail horse and don't care if she isn't capable of traveling off her hind quarters well.

I would say keep searching; she is cute, but I think there may be something even better out there. Don't let your emotions buy a horse you may not be able to use for your discipline.

she's super adorable, but as they list her as a gray - she won't stay with those markings, and you'll have a pink face to deal with! With the ease of sunburn, without those cute markings staying there I'd have to say I'd personally look for a colored horse that'll stay that way, lol.
