    No leather harness for me

Well I had ordered the Pleasure Harness from Smuckers Harness shop but they called and they didn't have one in-stock so it'd be 4-6 weeks (that's along time for me lol) so I after much thought decided to go with the Synthetic Pleasure Delux it's basicly the same but it is synthetic ofcourse, and it comes with the "better fit saddle" which is meant for wider backed horses and it has flat padding instead of rolled she said all horses will benifit from it it's much nicer, and it comes with a buckle in breast collar that is contured instead of straight. It is the same price as the leather (because it has the upgrades mentioned) So in a way it's good but I was looking forward to leather? I prob wont notice much diff cause my current leather harness is cardboard leather made in who knows where cheap cheap cheap! The best news it'll be Shipped out Friday or Monday so I should have it by the end of next week!
She said she hadn't had any complaints from people re: the synthetic except that those people who were long time drivers had a hard time getting used to the diff feel of the synthetic.
I also thought that since I'm not to carefull with my current harness and I use it for training ect I won't have to worrie about it getting scrached, bumped, scuffed ect, or cleaning it as often Smirk

I MUCH prefer betathane harnesses, myself (I'm assuming yours is betathane, I know my Smuckers is). MUCH easier to take care of, and I don't have to worry about it being wet since I ride through water very often for combined driving Wink I think you'll really like it! Smile

it's the same harness but in synthetic actually it's better, cause the bridle has the teardrop, and it's got the better fit saddle and the buckle in breast collar.

Yes!! I would prefer synthetic harness ,they are less maintainance and last a lot longer some people say is a lot stronger too.I drive my horse and cart to town about every week and I would NOT go back to leather!I'd say all horse drivers should have synthetic harness! You will like it! Grin

Ther Percheron, Bob, that I got to drive at the Texas Draft Horse seminar was kitted out in a beautiful synthetic harness. It looked like leather, but Bob's owner said she just hosed it down to clean it.
