    George Morris book review

Has anyone ever read "Hunter Seat Equitation" by George Morris? Can you tell me what you thought of it if you did? Thanks

I've read the 1st few chapters and I thought it was alright. It did explain things well and has helped my hunt seat. My friend is a big hunt seat rider and she swears by that book. LOL. I definitely recommend it! Someday I hope to finish the whole thing!

Considering that George Morris is the expert that all the top riders defer to, you won't go wrong having his book in your equesterian library.

I didn't read the entire thing, just what I needed at the various times I opened up, lol. It is an awesome book though. I learned alot from whatever I happened to read. I would totally recomend it.

Plus you CAN'T go wrong with George Morris right? Grin Grin

    Re: George Morris book review

The book is widely considered the bible of hunt seat education. It is quite valuable if rather dry. I have been to a George Morris clinic and while I think he is a jerk as a human, he is a tremendous horse person. None of his jerkiness really comes out in the book aside from a certain arrogance. I can more easily overcome arrogance in written text than in my face with a person yelling at me Smile
