    Wild mustang foals

I'm pleased to announce that we've had two beautiful wild mustang babies born at our ranch. My nonprofit, Tapestry Institute, has wild horses as part of our Mustang Freedom Project. We had a colt (Aubrey) born on March 24, and a foal (Thunder - we don't know the gender yet) born on May 27. We arrived just after Thunder was born, so we got to see him/her standing for the first time and taking his/her first steps. More pictures of Aubrey can be found here . We only have one picture of Thunder so far because the mustangs are very protective of their newborns.

I would LOVE to own a mustang some day. Probably won't happen for many years though. Smile Smile Thanks for sharing those with us! Laugh

Thanks for all of the nice comments! We determined this afternoon that Thunder is a female. I also put up a Thunder photo and video gallery because we got a few more pictures today of her. No videos yet, but hopefully I'll get some over the next few weeks as she gets bigger and she and Aubrey start playing. Smile

Thanks! Thunder's mom looks like a new horse since foaling. When we got her, the BLM rep warned us that she was pretty old (20 or so, which isn't really that old but a lot of folks think it is) and that she might not make it. I've been amazed at the change in her since Thunder was born.
