    Distance between jumps

We took down all the jumps to level out my riding area and cut grass, etc., and now I can't remember how far apart they should be!  I have a 17h Thoroughbred and a 13h Welsh Pony who I work over the jumps.  Could someone help me with the distances so I can set up my courses again??

    thx!

Well, each of those horses will have a different step, so I would not expect them to get the same striding in lines.  Generally, for a bounce, it's 10 feet, a one stride is 20 feet.  Roughly, again, depending on your horse's step.  You can google for more specifics.

    hi there
have a look at this web page

for ponys about a foot smaller  for each stride (ie one for a one stride combination  and two for a  two stride combination I think( I would have to look it up to be sure )
