Today, about a half hour after they went on sale, I bought tickets to both halves of the Grand Prix Special Dressage and for the Grand Prix Freestyle Dressage at the 2010 World Equestrian Games.  I have my hotel room reserved already, now I just need to make some plane reservations and the trip of my dreams will be complete.  Knowing I could make this happen is what kept me working on my freelance project over the last few weeks when I really just wanted to fall over from exhaustion.

 That is awesome, DressageDude!  I can imagine how excited you are.

That would be great Solaris!!!!  If anyone else is going to be around WEG 2010 from Sept. 28th-Oct. 1st let me know.  It would be fun to meet some of you there.

OMG, that is fantastic news dd.  Looks like it may become a big Equisearch get together. I sure hope a bunch of you can get together for a meet and greet. So I expect to see lots and lots of photos between the bunch of you.

Hey, I might have to grab SH and SS could meet us somewhere and the three of us could drive down for the heck of it.  I'll have to bump our speed show up a weekend if we decide to do that so I can do both.  Good thing you said something now, I've got to get the dates for the speed show nailed down sometime this next month.

The trip is now all official!!  I just booked the plain tix and the rental car.  Flying into Louisville because it was cheaper to fly in there and rent a car than just flying in to Lexington.  Oh well, Kentucky is beautiful and Mom and I can enjoy the ride to Lexington.

I have driven it also, and it is a beautiful ride! Where are you staying? I had to go through the Games website to get a room!

I booked my room thru the WEG website as well.  My mom and I are staying at the Comfort Inn in South Lexington.

We managed to get a room downtown at the Hilton, with the crazy prices to boot!

Crazy cheap?  When are you going to be there?  I would love to do some sort of a ES  get together for any of us there at the same time.    Even if it's just to get together somewhere at the horse park for a snack or a cup of coffee.
