So, I had another post, but I really need some feedback on her confirmation. I got her this past Saturday, and there are a lot of things I really like, and some not so much. I would love to hear all of everyone's thoughts on her confirmation. I am still in a sort of trial period so it could be that something with her confirmation will help me make a more final decision. I will probably keep her, but she may end up more of a trail horse than my dressage horse. Thanks in advance!

I'm terrible at judging confirmation but I thought putting the actual photos in the post might encourage more responses. ;)

Solaris:
I like her -- she's a bit croup high and straight behind, but i like her angles up front. I think when you strengthen her topline and get her in better condition, she will look even nicer.
oh good! I don't know anything about confirmation really, but she looked nice to me...I am learning by looking at other people's posts though... Do you think she would be good for dressage? Possibly some jumping, but to be honest I am such a chicken I'm not sure about that... Since she was a beach trail horse her butt muscles are huge, but how do I build top line?

CG, Just wanted to put my two cents in! I think she is very cute! And pretty nicely balanced, though slightly downhill, and she has a pretty head. I think you are right about being appendix 'cause she does have a stocky build but I like that. I read your other post about riding her, and it sounds like you found a good one that you will really enjoy. Congrats!
A note on the cribbing problem: I had one here that cribbed, and I did find if I was able to turn her out a lot, she did it less. When she was stalled we painted all cribbable surfaces with a combo of Pinesol and cayenne (a formula I learned on here) and she did not crib when we kept that up. It does need to be reapplied about weekly. Good luck and fun!

Thanks! I also like a horse with some stockiness to her. Though the longer I have her, the more I think she is pure TB, she has a lot of classic qualities, though a stockier type, so, I don't know. Her papers are, um, maybe in the mail today, I am quickly losing hope of ever seeing them though! I hope I got a good one, at this point I am not sure. She is a great horse, and would make a terrific horse for someone, I am just not sure it is me. We are working on bonding, and it seems to be going along slowly but surely. The big issue is that she HATES my colt. I will wait a month, but if she is still set on killling him, then I may have to find her a new home. He was there first, and he "ain't" going anywhere, so I hope she staightens out. Without 20 horses to put her in her place (my 3 are soooo passive) she is also turning into a Beautiful Intelligent Thoroughbred Crazy Horse......I don't know. I will reevaluate after she has been home a month, I hope she works out... reinchick53:Pinesol and cayenne
What is that mixture 1/2 and 1/2 or...? She isn't so set on cribbing now, but she is on turn out 24/7 with nothing to crib on, and the only time she has an option to crib is during meal time, but I would love to be able to put her in that pasture (assuming of course that she will stop trying to eat Ta'ceyewi, my colt)
