Beautiful tribute jg.  They went to the rainbow bridge knowing they were loved.  That's the most important thing.

What beautiful girls!  How lucky they were to have a mom who would put them first.  I only hope that I am able to have the chance to do that for my boy.  I'll be thinking of you.

Thanks everyone.  While is was a very tough day when I got up this morning and it is 38* and raining, I"m glad they aren't standing out in this getting wet.

Thank you all for posting, every post helps to heal the soul.

Yes, the ES community is full of great people. When Mac passed away, so many people offered their heartfelt condolences and it really did made me feel better. The more people who knew about him, celebrated his life, and mourned for his passing made me feel like he was recognized and given tribute.

I know I've posted this many times before, but it really is comforting -- there is a Native American legend that states, when we die, we are faced with a bridge. At the entrance to that bridge is every animal that we have ever encountered. These animals, taking into account how they were treated, make the decison to either let you cross over into paradise, or turn you away to desolation.

JG, your animals will certainly greet you with open arms and joyously cross over that bridge with you.

What a beautiful tribute, Jenn.  I shed a few tears knowing how much you loved them.  They were beautiful, wonderful horses and pony, and a big part of your life.  Bless you and your family.

What a beautiful tribute!  I remember talking about this in chat not so long ago but didn't realize the time was coming up so soon.  I'm sorry I've been MIA and wasn't around on "the day."

The relief that comes after it's all over is truly overwhelming when you consider the tension building up to the event.  I am so glad that it is all over.  Your girls are at peace, and now you can be, too.

For those looking for a way to memorialize their horses... a friend of mine had a bracelet made for me with some tail hair of my very first pony, euthanized after a long battle with Cushings.  My friend has since died of cancer at a very young age.... so the bracelet has double meaning for me.  I am not sure where she had it made, but I am sure there are plenty of sites on the internet that do custom work.

JG you are wonderful.  Thank you so much for loving your girls enough to walk them to the bridge so they could cross peacefully.  Left Hug

{{{BIG HUG}}}} great tribute i am glad i signed up and looked at it. Looks like you got a lot of online friends that support you with this. And you KNOW  i am always here if you need anything. I took a walk out to the woods and said my goodbyes to them even though i was not really close to any of them i felt they deserved it. I look out the back window every day, and my horses are hanging out on that side of there field alot more then they normally do. They are in a good place and i bet they are kicking up their heels like young fillies again!\

Lovely tribute for your girls, Jen.  You gave those three a good life and they knew they were loved, and that's all that really matters in the end.  I hope I'll be as brave and strong as you when it comes to be my time to let my girls go gently into that good night. ((((BIG HUGS)))) from me to you!!!
