Re: Barefoot, Shoes, or Other
Kelly is barefoot all around and Peppers has 4 shoes with trailers on the back to support his stifles. Chance is barefoot.

Re: Barefoot, Shoes, or Other
Could have selected all of them but I forgot about Storm. Polly is shod all four with stud holes in each. Storm is unshod, never has been. He has lush feet but he'll be getting shoes probably in the next month cos he is growing up (sigh) and will be hacking out soon. J

Re: Barefoot, Shoes, or Other
My horse has great feet, came unshod, after 6 months I put shoes on front because of rocky trails we often ride on. May go barefoot again, if I find a natural barefoot farrier and have the right boots for trail riding.

Re: Barefoot, Shoes, or Other
I would love to have Yogi go barefoot all around but he gets very ouchy on stones and we encounter them quite a bit where we trail ride. He has front shoes and is barefoot in the rear.

Re: Barefoot, Shoes, or Other
Chance is shod all the way around w/ front pads ALL the time. Thor is currently barefoot and I'll keep him that way as long as I can but if I do shoes it'll prob be fronts only. Cosmo has rock hard good feet so I doubt he'll ever have shoes unless I do allot of driving on pavement but I'd prob just go with some boots or something since I doubt he'll need shoes.

Re: Barefoot, Shoes, or Other
Um...sort of both I guess. Cita is shod all around. She has titanium fronts and steel backs, I think all 4 have clips (trying to visualize...) She's good at keeping shoes on, the farrier only has to put a couple nails in each foot.
Stew on the other hand is all around barefoot. He's a pony and has great feet. Being barefoot only bothers him when he has to cross our (stone) driveway, I guess it's a little uncomfortable for the little guy. Even withouth shoes, I swear he has better traction than Cita with her 4 shoes. I guess being so close to the ground and being very surefooted helps though!
I don't drink coffee sir. I don't drink any hot liquids. That's the devil's temperature.
