    Open Front Boots

I was wondering if anyone could recomend me to any open front jumping boots. I have heard that Veredus' are great and that Dover's are bad. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I bought a pair of Roma's for Yogi- they arent too bad at all. I've had them for a couple months now and they wear well. I didnt want to spend too much money...I think they were only $30. I just wanted some reliable for everyday riding. He doesnt jump all that much but I did notice that he does rub in the front slightly so I'm glad I got them. I'm sure a Woofwear or Eskradon boot is better quality but we get by just fine with our Roma's Smile

depends on what you're looking to spend and what style you want.
Polyeurathane/neoprene: Veredus' classics are really good, so are eskadrons (if you're looking to spend more). A cheaper, good quality boot is the shedrow open fronts. That's what I have for Joe and they're fantastic.

Leather: Hadfield's! they're really nice, the sheepskin isn't really thick (like a lot of boots), so it isn't distracting. You can also get them in rubber lining. Baine's is also a nice brand of boots. I don't own a pair of them myself, but a barn-mate does. My only problem with them is the amount of sheepskin- it's pretty tacky if you have a sheepskin girth and half pad.

Didn't you get splint boots? Or did you go w/ open fronts?

I actually did go with the open fronts. They were at Petsmart, they werent too expensive, and they're holding up really well! I never realized how much Yogi hit in the front until I put them on him.

I like the veredus. They don't use neoprene for their liner (which Rowan is of course allergic to), instead they use 'lycra'. They're waterproof, and even when Rowan corks herself, there's only a small scratch.
