    Stable in Houston

Hi, its me sophie from pakistan, how are all of you?
Anyways i was just wondering if anyone in houston knows about stables around the Cypresswood area or near it. Im getting a horse hopefully in a week or less and i realy dont know much about stables here. I mean i dont want to board my horse in a place that isnt good. Ive recently seen a stable on Aldine Westfield Rd. called Aldine Westfield stables and it seemed pretty nice to me but as i was saying i dont know theyre history. If anyone knows about this stable or any other boarding stable that is nice then i would appreciate it if i could have the name of the stable.
This is aldine westfield stables website ,http://www.awstables.com
    Thanks, Sophie

If anyone would like a sig, just PM me.

Sorry don't know anything about stables in Houston. I am however wondering if you are the one who rescued a horse with your mom while you were living in Pakistan? The horse had a horrible club foot. If that was you were you able to find the horse a home before you came back to the US? Good luck finding a stable.

Yep that was me, i forgot my password and had to make a new account. Shayan is fine and he became healthy and all his wounds recovered. Before i left i gave him to a woman who just adores horses and hopefully that will be his home for life.

If anyone would like a sig, just PM me.

    Hi Sophie

I live just outside of Houston. I'm not familiar with Aldine-Westfield Stables, since it's not near me, but it looks good from the website. Actually, it might be about as close as where I board now, just in the other direction!

I also run a website called HoustonHorses.net which has listings of many boarding stables, as well as other horse-related facilities and businesses - vets, tack shops, feed stores etc. in the Houston area.

Welcome back to the USA!!! Glad to hear that Shayan is doing well and that you found him a home. His story and how you rescued him was just so touching that I don't think I will ever forget it. Let us know how the stable search goes for you. I'm sure you'll have no problem. Houston is a very horse oriented area. We also want pics once you get your new horse.

I ride high in the saddle, always saddle my own horse
still I'm every inch a lady from the outside to the core
I take the trail less traveled `cause I know where it leads

Cayenne looks sweet but sounds like you have some work ahead of you if you want to ride him. Good luck!!! Keep us posted on his progress.

Yeah, hes stubborn and a bit pushy but hopefully after a couple months of training that might change hopefully. Im meeting the LSER volunteer on teusday at the AW stables and shes doing an inspection of the stable. Hopefully ill be fully approved soon and cayenne will be my first horse in US.

he looks like a fab project if you can sit a buck. Smirk !!!

Good luck with him and I think it is great that you are taking him on. I bet he becomes a super riding horse.

I hope you find the perfect barn - a good barn can make the difference between winter riding being a pleasure or a chore.

    Re: Stable in Houston

LOL!!! Winter riding in Houston is not going to be much of a chore unless there is too much rain. Summer might be worse riding in Houston. I miss living in the south.
