He did run around a little today. Sorry I didn't warn about the picture of his nose. But don't you love his purple, pink and yellow appy spots once he was all doctored up?

Love the pics! Poor little man, he really got beat up didn't he? What a doll though. Sacking out won't be a problem, he sure seems easy going. And you have to love the eyeliner thing he's got going. Keep us all posted!

Poor little guy! Bless you for rescuing him. I think he is completely adorable with his spots, whatever the color.

    yes yes, very adorable spots.
it feels so good to know you are giving a horse a better lifestlye. That's how I feel everyday with Starlight.

Good luck with him! He's beautiful...and he makes a cute indian horse.

And I can't even imagine how his life was before you got him. Poor guy. But I'm sure he's longforgotten his past when he's given so much love and attention. Laugh

Wow!  I just found this thread again.  It is so amazing to see Pheo now and then see these pics.  The trip down memory lane has been a great one.  I smiled all through reading this and remembering the feeling of bringing him home.

I wish all his aunties were still on the forum so I could thank them again for convincing me to take the chance.  I am so thankful!  Pheo is such a wonderful boy!  Those of you who are still here and his godmother RC, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Holy Cow, how time flys. I can't believe the change in that boy. He sure was a diamond in the rough. You need to post some before and after picts so we can see how far he's really come.

Oh wow! Since I am still fairly new here, I had seen pics of Pheo now, it is sooo cute to see pics of him all the way.  Even though their coloring does not match one bit, he reminds me of my little Ta'ceyewi.  Pheo was such a cute little guy, and he has grown up into such a cute young man!

If I hadn't seen the before pics when I met Pheo, I would never have known how bad the "before" was. He looks so wonderful in comparison - so glad you took a chance on him. :)

Wow!  What a difference!  I guess that little neck did fill out!  I also loved to read the whole story -  I only knew of him as thebig handsome man his is now, and it was cool to see how he came to be!

Wow, I remember that little ugly duckling.  And what a transformation.  What I find most interesting about the pictures is how it shows that bone doesn't change.  Angles and proportions as a youngster stay that way into adulthood -- all the people who show straight shouldered, upright youngsters saying they'll grow out of it are selling you a bridge in AZ and these pictures show why.

ETA--wasn't talking about Pheo being nasty conformation -- my point was that even in the bad pictures, you can see he has nice bone structure, that doesn't lie!

Gosh, I remember when you first posted about him.  It's amazing how time flies.  He looks so great now... I would have never imagined him turning into the handsome horse that he is based on those first pictures.

Wow Amber! I never knew the story of Pheo til now - what a transformation!!!  Surprise

And no his bone didn't change, it can't; but what is most obvious to me that did change, is his heart.  So awsome.  He was so forlorn and now he's so happy.  Good job.
