Wendy - Sorry to hear about your iron levels. Yes... that can definitely make you feel tired all the time. I believe, someone correct me if I'm wrong, that women can get anemic if they're not eating enough iron rich foods. But... it's also something you don't want to overload on either. I'd guess your doctor will make sure there's nothing else causing this and if not prescribe supplements.

As for the chin lift... what they did for me is lipo the chin/neck area and then remove some skin with an incision underneath my chin.

Starz - I agree... it definitely looks classier if your tech stuff is put away. If we end up building someday, I'd like a custom unit to hide a big screen in, with built in surround stound. My hubby would love that for his sports events!

I love my laptop I got for Christmas. I don't use it all the time, but quite often I'll use it while I'm watching TV or sitting in the same room with my husband. I didn't like being hidden away in the loft, alone, just to play on the computer either....

You're so fortunately to be able to speak two languages! I really need to learn Spanish if we're moving to south Texas, but I'm procrastinating. Fear of failure, I'm sure. I tried taking Spanish in HS, didn't devote enough time to study, and therefore struggled at it. Wasn't a pleasant experience.... Frown

rr... don't be too harsh to me. Remember... I moved from a 4 bedroom house that I lived in by myself, to my husband's small two bedroom loft house. I had to get rid of most of my belongings, including a lot of clothes (since we're sharing one closet). My DD got my nice formal dining room set! The Brat! Smile There was literally no other place to put my TV, and I couldn't see getting rid of it since it'll be good in a den/playroom someday.

Seahorse - You should be so proud of your daughter! She sounds amazing! You and your hubby seem to go out on some fun dates... I'm envious... My DH is so busy, keeping up with his current work and trying to put together his new business plans... I'm looking forward to the day when he can relax a little bit. Of course... that's partially why he can eat anything he wants and stays thin! He never sits still!

Yes... my father is in fact brilliant, but.... not too good in the fathering arena. He did his best, given he had no role models either....

RC - are you snowed under yet?? Did you notice that Lucy said the ony thing she was doing to get ready for the storm was buy dog food??? Lucy - what should I read between the lines there???

I have been running around in the rain all day and have more to do. DD hits the door in a few minutes and it will be chaos as we have a full schedule this afternoon. No time to ride today - I will have to spend the day tomorrow on horseback to make up for it!

Where is Starz and her technology? - and AMM has gone missing!! Not to mention WiM.

Sh - I am jealous of the wonderful dates you and your Dh seem to be able to do on a regular basis - I have wireless set up as well (make sure yours is secure- change logins and passwords for router from default settings)I just can't seem to justify another computer - especially when $$$ flies out the door for all the remodel/update expenses - we have had a tight December and January isn't much better so far - next week my DH will be headed down to TX again - I hope the ice storm is gone by then.

RC -praying you and your critters are safe and warm - also thankful it is not in this area Wink

A 72" TV would be fun ! - Imagine Almost life sized horse videos across the screen Grin Lil' Horse wears a 72" blanket)
Sh It would be a blast to get together - we should discuss that!
Lucy from a 4 to a 2 - that must be a tight squeeze! But a good thing I'm sure we have accumulated far too much stuff we really don't need - We have a Living room upstairs - no TV only a stereo that looks like an old time radio ( just got for Christmas) The TV is downstairs in the family room - but I do like the TV in my bedroom especially when DH is out of town. Your father sounds like he is quite brilliant! Unfortunately the two languages have just left me inept at either one! I don't really have to opportunity to speak German anymore and my parents mostly speak English now so when I was young and trying to learn spelling and grammar etc- I really got messed up! Grin

WiM's been busy--lookie what I did!! (the sig--I'm finally not siggy-impaired. Now. To conquer the avatar...)

And my opinion on AMM is that she's been banned for having warmer weather than the rest of us. Best of luck to you, RC!

    Re: Tools, Machines and Politics

I'm back in... Whew. Stalls are bedded, hay was ordered in. Poor filly was brought in from pasture beacuse the other 2 mares will not let her into the shelter. Complete white out, 4 inches so far and roads are horrible. We closed our business today, rescheduled everyone. The worst thing is they had school anyway because it did not start until after the buses were rolling. So now I will have to worry about DD until she is safely home.
One more chore...I have to go out and water everyone! (See my post on frozen hoses!) Have fun, all, I will probably be too exhausted after, I'll need to hit the Scotch!
And Lucy, all you had to do was get dog food??!! How fair is that?
Where is AMM? WiM is around, saw her posting earlier.

It is always surprising what they won't come in out of though - and it does depend on who they are with.

If Surprise hears thunder she is in the shelter even if there is no rain for miles. Blue wasn't allowed in the shelter where he was - no surprise he came up with rain rot!! But now he is with Surprise and they are both alpha so they keep dry - not sure about anyone else. Wink They are all happy outside if it is snow...

    Re: Tools, Machines and Politics

So far Lil' Horse holds her own getting in the shelter - two huge mares out with her- She prob would rather come in - thinks she is princes or something and shouldn't be subjected to weather like that!
RC -let us know when DD comes home - is she on the bus?
