    I love Ghost Whisperer!

Hey, would all you posters in PA, NY etc, please go outside and blow really hard and make this storm system move just a bit further south? See, I'm right on the border of snow and ice. I'd much prefer snow!

Hey WiM - I wish I could get rid of this stuff around here tonight! I'm afraid whatever I blow would head east! You don't want what we've got going on around here. well I'm afraid it's going to go that way anyhow - we need to talk to those people west and north who keep sending this stuff!

    Re: back to pencils....

Hi you all - no weather talk from me unless it has to do with the appearance of spring. Though if we get the 6 inches of predicted snow overnight maybe there will be another day off school tomorrow - one can always hope!!

Had a great busy weekend - musical production of Miss Saigon by the high school, a lovely visit with out of town friends, and dancing - always a great way to warm up in the winter.

I see we have all sorts of trips planned -any and all of them sound good to me!! But for right now a book and bed seem like the best idea!!

Argh!! We're up to a half an inch of ice forecast! I'm quite sure that means they'll close the county offices, but my poor ponies are outside in it Frown

Hey there Starz1 Yes... my Jackster climbs trees. I wish I had a surveillance camera to catch the action. I might could win a prize on "Funniest Home Videos!"

I certainly know how you feel about this winter weather, and we're not down around zero. Actually, it was wet but fairly mild today, but supposedly we've got a cold spell coming in tonight sometime. My son is visiting up in Seattle. He loves it there with all the rain. I, personally, think he's crazy... I couldn't handle all that rain all the time. I need my sunshine!

Maybe your weathermen are wrong about the ice. We can hope!

Yep SH gazetted highway is on the map as a road, its actually scarier driving on the beach than the road, there is a speed limit of 80kmh, now THATS scarey!

I have just been very naughty and eaten a whole block of chocolate, I can feel my clothes getting tight yikes!

Morning all, Joelle I see you've used the Native American saying I sent you some time ago...Looks great. Wish I could remember the book it came from. Not sure if it was "On the Loose,) or not...

Everyone knows that I am computer stupid and don't own a television(or at least in Normandy,) but I thought you could put your "dish" in the attic, and it worked fine?

Perhaps not. But I thought some folks did that here?

Hi DesertGal! I LOVE THE DESERT!!! Used to go to the Death Valley often with high school buddies. Love high 'step' regions as well like the eastern slope of the Sierra's, The Owens River Valley(used to be some GREAT FLY FISHING there...)

Well, it stopped raining and am going to at least try to get a run in before going to work today...Talk to you all later...rr

    Re: back to pencils....

I'm thinking not! On the map you'll see here (at least as it's posted at 9AM eastern on Tuesday) I live and work in the dark pink area. Work is under the far end of the "n" in the word "then." Home is close to the top of the "W" in "Washington." The horses are up near the "I" in "Ice" right where the "I" crosses the border between VA & MD (the Potomac River).

I'm doomed, doomed!! But I've got the ability to work from home today. Let's see if I'm more productive at home or the office!

    Good luck WiM!
Starz, Remmer, Cindy, they do make a heated dish, it's called a Hot Shot, I have one and I never worry about the weather!! If you want one, PM me and I'll get you the details.
AMM, what a darling mommy and puppies! No wonder you were able to sell them all for so much!
Lucy, I can just picture your little Jill in the tree. We used to have a lab that climbed ladders. One day my husband was on the roof fixing something and he turned around and the dog was up there with him. Now try to picture getting a 90 pound lab off the roof! He loved playgrounds and would always climb the ladder to the slide and slide down.
cindy, I go through Desert Hills several times a year now since my mom moved to Santa Barbara. Your MacDonalds even sells cappucino and I love the horsey theme! As much as I hate McDs, yours is worth the stop.

WiM-looks like you're doomed- we got dumped on last night too - still coming down -but the school buses rolled on anyway! Silly Midwesterners we will go out in anything and think it's just fine. I just saw the grade school kids (bus at my driveway) leaping and pouncing into the culvert at the end of the road in snow of at least 2ft or so- I'm guessing they'll be wet all day at school Smile Hey its almost 20*F again today but dropping to that nasty stuff again. more snow and wind today too. How are the rest of you fairing?
