....soup(not soap.) Me and my hurried typing...Never learn...rr
Yeah, that one had me a little perplexed. When I took French in high school, we did have chocolate sandwiches, which is a bit odd...but "soap" had me scratching my head. I figured it was slang for something (?).

Glad you got a good granny, rr! No doubt she will adopt you and your family and William will have a built in babysitter, not too bad.
I have been busy getting new laminate floors in. We opted for these because of the dogs and all the farm dirt. I got samples of real wood and the laminate and beat on them with a hammer and screwdriver, etc. to see which one held up the best, the laminate won. Finally got it all in and trimmed and repainted the walls. My house is looking so much better!
Hosted the annual neighborhood halloween party. But all the kids have grown up so we only had couples and DD had some friends. We ate, drank had a big fire outside and played games. Very relaxing.
I hope everybody else had a good one. I am getting ready to go down and play with the new boy. We leave Thurs AM. The trainer will be at a show all weekend and offered to haul him over to the show so I could ride and train there. Sounds fun, I can see how he does in a show setting and catch up on things with friends.
How are you recovering SH? Haven't seen you check in.

Howdy one and all - wow am I getting behind with the news with no internet at work and only limited access at home (thanks kids!) so all interesting stuff, SH has hit the deck, RC has a new pony, rr has taken to eating soap sandwhiches and knocking grannies over with his dog! SS I hope you get over your bug soon, Bucks I'm with FH be afraid be VERY afraid, thats risky ground you are stepping on, who got their car back? cant remember and some old friends popping up again SP, 7, Rem and thanks to those facebooking me, but when it comes to f/book I am a total nuff nuff, so dont be disallusioned when I dont "play" too much!!!!
new job is great I am really enjoying it now, work with a great bunch of people, so much so I even turn up when I am sick! now that must mean I am enjoying things hahaha I am home today have to go for an ultrasound on my neck, last week when I was having an RDO a rather large painful lump turned up in my neck, I am staying positive and not thinking it could be horrid, had blood test last night and have been taking so many anti biotics I rattle not to mention I think I have a hole in my guts the size of Texas! BUT I am staying positive and will know more by the end of the week, could be glandular fever or mumps fingers crossed it is one of the those or just a weird infected gland that will disappear soon!
We have decided to sell up EVERYTHING, both houses now and pay out all debt, then we can concentrate on building new house up on the mountain and really get to enjoy it, plus I can buy another "flash" horse as DH says! I am just looking for a younger horse to start and bring on wont ever sell the boy, he is going well and looking good. So that is my news
Its really hot today 90 + again, its 7.50am and I will have to go out and ride soon or it will be too hot and I hate riding at night now, I was going to New Zealand this weekend for my sisters birthday but now cannot fly so had to cancel but will try and visit next year, its our clubs AGM and presentation night on Saturday and I have another to go to tonight, I hate the end of season, always seems sad and an absolute age to the next season and of course christmas is in there somewhere too, oh AND my BIG 50th birthday in 5 weeks time wahoo can hardly wait NOT!

I have to start out appologizing to AMM, I accidently clicked "report abuse" on your post instead of "quick reply". Then my computer hung up so I don't know if you got reported or not. OOPS. Sounds like getting through the training was a PITA for you AMM but it's totally worth it now. Good luck selling both places and getting what you want. So what day is your b-day so we can all harass you. Good news on the dryer front.... it's fixed. Not so good news on the truck front yet. The jerk wad that fixed the transfer case this summer didn't do it right and now we can't get ahold of him to fix what he didn't fix before. Grrr.... stupid guy. Off to get ready for work. ttyl..

I'm not abusive.........honestly!!!
Hahahaha no JG no message or ritual slaying as a consequence.
SO to report on my ultrasound, tis an infected lymph node, now I know WHAT it is I need to understand WHY it is and what can be done. Fortunately the meds are working well and the swelling has gone down quite a lot today, the results of the blood tests should be back today and the scans will be back to the docs this afternoon, the only trouble is I have been researching on the net and so far I have any amount of diseases, some of which I have never heard of, it really DOES not pay to self diagnose hahahah!
Off to ride now before it gets too hot, then sleep for the rest of the day!

I want your life! lol Good news is that I got my Jeep back at last, and better news is that I was able to ride last night. Not as great news is that Squeak's bad leg was very stiff (so was mine, actually - same leg too) and she wasn't happy about working after having a month and a half off. We got through it though, and wound up having a bit of a lightbulb moment re. bending and yielding. We were working on a circle, spiralling out while keeping her bent the correct direction. Remember that this is all totally new to her - at first she didn't have a clue what I wanted, and then she was pretty sure it was impossible, but with patience we got it. Also spent some time outside loving on the new weanling, but I think I'm paying for it now with a head cold. Oh well, they're cute enough to be worth it!

That news could be worse amm! - Remember the Immune stuff! Squeaks Great news! I have been told its quite often common for our animals to mirror our sore/ill areas or vs/vs hard to say who is first - kinda like the chicken/egg thing !

Re: I'm not abusive.........honestly!!!
AMM -- I have had an infected lymph node in grad school, it was Cat Scratch Fever (no lie, it really exists!), they had to remove the node and biopsy it to figure it out. Mine was right by my hip and it made pain shoot down my leg when I walked! But I got it from my kitten apparently, many young cats, at least in the US are carriers, who knew? But once they removed it, no further problems.

Re: I'm not abusive.........honestly!!!
That's a good thing to know, AMM. I'm glad to know you're feeling good about the new job. Thought I'd check in real quick and see how everyone is doing. Everyone enjoying the fall weather? Ours has been great, although the shorter days put a big damper on doing anything with the horses after work. I need a lighted arena like Solaris. How is the new place? Cat Scratch Fever, really? And here I thought that was only a Ted Nugent song. How's grandma behaving, rr? Has she baked you cookies yet? How's Incarna? Is the bruising fading, SH? Are you still riding, SS, or have you started job hunting? Who else did I forget? Hope all is well with everyone!

It always happens when you have something you are REALLY looking forward to something! Yup, Solo came up lame for sure tonight. I kinda thought he seemed funny when I was leading him back to the barn on Thurs, but couldn't really tell. Rode him a little tonight, seemed funny, but again, he'd go fine, then not, then fine, then not, I was so confused. But when I turned him out, definitely limping. Farrier is coming tomorrow anyway, sigh, fingers crossed for farrier magic.

I felt I was in a bit of a time warp reading your post. You mentioned "in chat this evening" and it's just past lunch time here, and I had to read it a couple of times before it clicked. LOL
Sorry, I feel like I've had a long day slaying dragons.
