I'm a little confused about the stirrup question.
Are you looking for a new or a used saddle? Honestly, I wouldn't rule out western saddles altogether. There are some models that still allow you to feel your horse's back (hint: less leather ;) but if you are looking to stay with a hunt seat feel, I honestly liked Wintec, because the saddle was easy to clean, comfortable for my horse, and I wasn't heartbroken the first time it got a scratch from a branch or rained on. They have an endurance version. It's also more cost effective than buying a specially designed endurance or trail saddle like a Tucker or Thornhill (I have trail buddies with both types though and they swear up and down by their saddles). Just my two cents.
If you can find a used close contact/AP saddle you could probably use that. :) Good luck and happy trails!
