Would like some feedback on our site for Norwegian Fjords

I would really like to know what some of the "other" breed people out there think of not only the website, but what do you think of when you hear the breed Norwegian Fjords...

I know a lady that's got a few Fjords. They seem to be so easy going and laid back, and they have the coolest manes! I really like them. The website is great. I'd never seen a Fjord foal before.....how CUUUUTE! Big Smile

Love 'em :) I almost bought one... but after people here talked sense into me, I didn't... nothing at ALL against fjords, it's just that I couldn't afford one who is at the level I wanted right now :) Fjords were out of my price range for what I was looking for. Someday I'd like to have one.... There is a lady in the driving club I belong to who had a GORGEOUS one, I believe she sold her not too long ago, but she has another I haven't yet seen.

Love, love, love your gorgeous horses!  I think the page could use more pictures to show them off, but I definitely found your site compelling -- I read the entire site, LOL.  Big congrats to you for living your dream.

I meant to add also that it was nice to see that you were in Bothell.  We have several people who transferred here from Bothell to work for my company, and they always speak so highly of it!

I think your site looks really nice, too. Someone else mentioned adding more pictures, and I agree! Your horses are so beautiful, I'd show them off as much as possible... but I like the story, I think it's a good idea to have things like that on there. Overall, the layout is nice and easy to navigate. Looks good to me!

I refer to them as Mohawk horses. A few months back a lady and her husband boarded their Fjords at the barn and I just loved them. They are so unique and adorable. I have never ridden one but they look like such a neat breed. These guys hate great personalities too. They are on my list of favorite horses.

I've always wanted one when I was a kid. From what I've read they are incredible tough, smart ponies. Very sturdy, good for riding and pulling wagons. I love the color of them! Beautiful!! I've only seen them once in person and it was a couple mares and a foal. What I noticed the most was how big they look yet how short they really are. Very broad, thick thick necks with a very large head. I love their eyes, but altogether I think they are very nice horses.

That is one of the things that is so impressive about them! Even though they may only be around 14 hands, you see full size (some of us plus size) adults riding them at the show and it doesn't look out of place at all. If you were to put the same adult on a 14 hh Arabian, the rider would dwarf the horse. There was a post a while back about the rider wanting to know what size horse she should have, so I mentioned that part.

And yes, they are very nice horses. Their puppy dog eyes are just the beginning of story! Very much like Golden Retreivers!

We have a 2 year old Fjord at the farm. My friend's father owns him.  Her father is from Norway and had a fjord growing up.  He is now retired and decided he needed a horse too...since his daughter and I have 6 horses on his property already!  The fjord is a doll!  He isn't phased by anything.  He takes everything in stride.  He has been ground driven and ridden bareback a few times.  He acts like a pro!  He is the "little prince" of the farm!
