I used the Cool Calories on Rook when he was at the last barn and it did help. The price for that product was reasonable also.

As with many others, I agree with the hay/grass 24/7. My horse Rook has not been an easy keeper. He was quite thin when I got him 3 years ago. The first place I was boarding him was a dry lot with a round bale and he was stalled every night. He put some weight on there but I had to add supplements to his regular feed. Now he is at a farm where he is in the pasture 24/7 with 4 other horses. None of them received any grain over the winter (we are in Indiana and had quite a nasty season). They were
