  • Gray Horses & Shine?

I've had a light dappled grey Thoroughbred gelding for almost a year now. However, he's not very shiny. He looks fine, very healthy; you wouldn't look at him and think he needs more care, but I think most of the other show horses in the barn outshine him. It's frusterating to me because I spend 1/2 hour every day grooming him before I ride, and that includes a lot of currying. Quote: Thanks so much for your valuable input. Are there particular hunter/jumper trainers or riders you'd like to see featured in how-to articles or profiles? I don't have any paticular favorites; any professionals would be cool. Maybe you could do a profile on a few juniors, like Megan Young, Brianne Goutal, or Addison Phillips. I think it would be a hit, especially for the younger crowd.

I just wanted to say that I really love your magazine. I've tried a lot of different ones, but Practical Horseman was the best by far. I love the George Morris critiques; that's the first part I read everytime, and I'm usually a person who reads cover to cover, no skipping ahead. I'd like if you had some more in-depth hunter/jumper article, though (and maybe some fun ones about life in the hunter/jumper circuit; currents fashions, perhaps?). Keep up the good work!
