Afew weeks late..but nonetheless..:) Pie and I were invited to one of the local church's "Blessing of the Animals" earlier this month. The day's forecast included an almost guranteed rain..wonderful to help quench the drought we are in..but how could Pie come if the event was being moved INSIDE the church, versus outside, like it normally is? Simple, Pie was invited INTO the sanctuary! Pics here http://slidebythesea .wordpress.com/2011/10/10/a- pony-in-the-church /

Cindy I do understand your rationale behind the printing of this article..it comes down to the old "will we educate or leave the people to form their OWN education"..fact is, one cannot stop a person from buying a training aid "gadget"..but one can help a person learn about them, so mabey they will realize what those training aids are used for, in what circumstances they are used and when they are not used. Because reining is essentially the same manuvers at the same places in the arena (just in a difference sequence), horses get "Smart" and they figure out once you run past that center cone, they are going to

It IS something to be taken seriously...but also not something to panic over. the key is taking a pro active approach to the situation..and many organizations are doing this, by canceling or postponing shows to FORCE people to stay home so this run of the virus has time to run it's course. not unlike many illnesses..it is always "here"..but there are outbreaks, some big, some small. some horses will recover, some will die.. Here in Texas, we have had many cutting shows canceled..and
