• 2011 Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event

Hey Equisearch! I'm at the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event. Learn more about it here: rk3de.org Live web cast: Webcast I have some photos and short video clips up on YouTube: Video That's day 1 (Thursday). Hope to have something from day 2 dressage today. I just got back from the Cross Country which was terrific as usual. Instead of trekking around to different obstacles I stayed at the Head of the Lake and hope I got some good shots to share. I'll update this post as I get more done.

I added Friday's dressage test photos: http://www.phyxiusphotos.com/RolexKentucky3Day2011/Dressage-Friday/16847272_fvnJHN#1271735211_fT8LtCk The cross country probably won't be up until Tuesday. I have to pack now and will leave for Maryland right after the stadium.

  • Re: Suggestions on Turning Horses Out in Hotwire?

Have you already purchased your electric fence? If not, I HIGHLY recommend this rope: http://www.premier1supplies.com/detail.php?prod_id=17857&cat_id=41 I've used different tapes and have had friends use the actual wire (which you've already said you're not using) and this stuff is tons better. The tape knots/kinks easily and sags or twists. This rope is highly visible, soft, easy to use , looks nice, and is durable. I've had it out in my fields for probably close to 10 years

  • Re: Forum Help - Searching?

Thanks guys! :) I was asking because I will be at Rolex (in just a couple days, now) and I wanted to see if there was already a thread started. Depending on my connection speeds at the hotel I hope to upload some photos and videos while I'm there.Technology is leaping ahead and I know that the USEF Network will be broadcasting, too!

  • Forum Help - Searching?

Soooo, I tried searching for something but using the search box at the top of the page just searches equisearch, not the forum. :( Then, I checked the tech forum (Help and FAQ) but, you can't post a new thread there... I miss the OLD equisearch. Faster, better, easier. Any suggestions on how to search posts here? Thanks! Christina
Phyxius!!!!! Been missing you, although I haven't been great about being on here lately either. How goes it with Peanut? I don't have any pics or video because I tend to ride alone except in lessons. I'll try to get at least a couple of pics of Pacman sometime soon and maybe a couple of us working together if I can convince a friend to come out and run the camera.
Hmmm, should I ask the techies to see what they can do about that? Put it on our wish list? LOL! Good to see you, by the way. Hope you're doing well.
Hey Jayne, I'm doing pretty good, thanks! Hope all is well with you , too. :) A while ago when the forum changed to this format I pretty much stopped coming. It's slow and clunky. :( I really like the quickness and slick look of the vBulletin forums like this one -> http://www.dgrin.com/ I

  • Re: Tips for very long mane care?

My horse has a very long mane and tail, too. :) He gets a bath before shows but hair care between those times is pretty minimal. Because he's gray I use Quic Silver shampoo. Then, I condition with cholesterol (a cream based conditioner available at wal-mart or pharmacies in the ethnic section). I also use Stubben Care as a detangler http://www.stubbennorthamerica.com/stu09Grooming.html I also keep his mane in running braid that is quick and easy to put in and take out.

WooHoo! I'm happy to hear that you're having fun riding! I'm sorry that I don't keep in contact with you, Solaris, and some other regular posters on the forum. I have my facebook and twitter wired into my phone and I forgot to check on the much less instant forum here. It sounds like you're making great progess with Pacman! I'd love hear more and see any pictures or video. You know me...pictures and video are second and third only to horses. :) Maybe his owner is scared of
