Starting your own barn would be a huge financial undertaking. Insurance alone is huge money. It's not so bad, just read everything carefully. Study up on your laws, parts of the horse/hoof/saddles/bridle and most common diseases. The packet you get from the Dept. of Agriculture will have diagrams to study from. Also learn the footfalls/ beats of the gaits Good luck!

Hi, I took mine over the summer. The test just has a lot of ambiguous answers, but you probably did a lot better then you think you did. It is one weird test, were you in the same place as the pesticide test people?

I think that black coats = dressage. Black or Navy are the only acceptable colors in the dressage ring.

I had the same problem with Troxels. Try to find a store that sells Tipperary helmets, they fit great. You can also order then from dover. I don't even know mine is on my head most of the time They aren't show helmets though, so get it to fit right for the way you ride most.

Have you considered a synthetic saddle, some are alot lighter then their leather counterparts.
