I would hand wash it with something like Woolite.

I have to agree with Jayne on this one. I'm a full-time (adult) student and I work almost full-time as well, and many people would say that I'm pushing it financially keeping my mare. She's pasture boarded and not blanketed, which makes her happier than being stalled, keeps her fitter when I can't ride as regularly as I'd like, and cuts down on the cost. I have savings to cover any vet or other emergency. Still, there's vet, farrier, dentist, supplements, tack and other supplies

Just wanted to wish all my OTW friends a very merry Christmas. I hope you're able to spend time with loved ones, and do whatever it is that makes the season special for you!!!

If the rice bran is the powder like we get here, adding enough water to make it kind of a pablum consistency makes it easier for them to eat.

Gorgeous wedding pics Sp, what beautiful country. And JG, so sorry to hear about Sulu, what a horrible thing to have happen! I've survived most of my midterms (one left) with good grades, and I'm wrapping up the last of my papers for the term. Squeaker seems to be feeling a little more limber in that leg, which is a relief. The farrier took a bit more toe off her hinds and it seems to have helped. Now I'm counting down to surgery on Tuesday. Nothing major, but I might get a chance to

Hey, just wanted to let you all know that I'm still alive (mostly). I have a bit of bronchitis -- sucky way to spend Thanksgiving -- but the meds are workling so I should be back in good form soon. I'm afraid I haven't had time to read all the updates, but here's mine: No riding here, I don't know what I'm going to do with that horse of mine! I rested her for the better part of a year (no joke, I had no saddle that fit) and now I'm trying to (very slowly) bring her back

Trouble is we know what it is, but aren't sure if there's any more we can do for her. Not giving up, just not sure. This is the leg that she ripped up the inside of her hock down to bones and tendons, and now the joint is all full of scar tissue and she can't fully bend it. Surgery might help temporarily, but it would lead to more scar tissue later, and my vet says the evidence for lasers and ultrasound helping with cases like this is all anecdotal, so I don't know if I want to go

That's the only spray I've used for the past 9 years. I'm really happy with it. I would think it may be safer from the perspective that you only have to spray once a week or so, rather than soaking them in chemicals every day.

Just wanted to wish all the moms on here a very happy Mothers' Day! I hope you have a great day with your families, and get some me-time to enjoy your horses too. :)
