Here is a quick critique, since I am not sure what you are looking to do with a horse (ie flat work? jumping? how high of jumping? open or breed shows? etc) 1) No confo pic, but I can tell he has very little muscle and a very poorly muscled neck that makes it look ewed. He is a plain mover, doesn't look to track up and is on the forehand. 2) Very cute little jumper. Looks to be built a bit downhill, but nothing jumps out at me as being horrible. I think he is probably a solid little horse that

Nicole, She will be my show hunter. Eventually, hopefully she will be capable of the 3'6" stuff once she is old enough to jump. I might do a bit of the QH circuits, but my main focus is the open hunter stuff. :-)

Here is my critques: First Video: Your horse looks stiff in his neck and movement. Try working on some suppling exercises and having him go in a "long and low" frame to help supple him. Your hands do bob a bit, but the main thing I see with them is that you keep them in your crotch area. Try shortening your reins a bit so that you don't need to put your hands back and down in order to slow him. You also are compensating for the stiffness in your horse by keeping your butt off your tack

She is getting vetted on the 11th! :-D I have a post in this folder of a video clip of her, if anyone wants to check it out.... "Video Clip of my possible new horse" :-D

Her barn name is Hannah. Since she doesn't have any AQHA points, I am thinking about changing her registered name, as it just doesn't fit how stunning she is! :-) Thanks for the crossed fingers! I am anxiously awaiting the 11th! :-D

Thanks, that is a very valid point. I will have to look into it more. I will probably just go with side reins, but thought I would get opinions on this contraption

I have only owned mares and prefer them to geldings. I've found that most mares who are a bit marish actually tend to take that to the show ring with them and give them that "Look At Me" presence. :-) That is a good point though, since some people don't like handling a mare in heat. But Me, I love mares!! :-)
