I like the bit you decided to buy, before I reached that post I was going to recommend the bit with the roller I use a similar mouth piece in a Kimberwick on a couple of horses. My blind aged appy goes very nicely in it as does my granddaughter's trail horse. It seems a very mild bit, IMO yet I feel it is a nice communicator.

Yeah! Another great use for Desitin.. I love that stuff for Greasy heel, Rain rot, just about any booboo seems to respond to it. I wouldn't use bleach. I would rather treat with ACV. Of course now I'll try Desitin. :)

I read about County in another forum. I know he couldn't get in here after the format changed. Maybe it was the slow navigatio, I don't remember. He will be sadly missed from many online horse communities. His family and friends have our heartfelt condolences.

I have 4 of my own and 2 who live here but aren't "mine".

>>> As for the barefoot trimmer, I agree that a normal farrier definitely ought to be able to do the actual trim,<<< Just want to say that this is too often not the case. I tried very hard to get my last "farrier" to trim to my specs. I gave her websites, printed some info for her, tried to walk her thru it.. All for naught.. She was open and tried, but without doing some homework she was not getting it.

What is the breed of these horses?

:( I wish I could come out there again. Had a blast when I visited with you. Hubby sold his Harley(weirdo) so he won't be trucking out anytime soon.

That had to be so dang scary. I am very glad to hear you both got off with minimal injury. That is a pity you didn't have the trailer insured.. Still, I am sure you are totally relieved to walk away from it.

I don't know if these colors work for you and I don't do collages.. But, :D if you like it feel free to use it. If it's too large I can shrink it some. Btw, I noticed some of your pics are marked do not copy. You cannot use any pics that are copyrighted.
