Waverly is october 6-10 this year. Won't be able to be there but usually a fun trip. Vehicles sell early in the week and I absolutely love taking a camera to see the different vehicles that show up. Watching the horses being hitched is also an eye opener but we usually can't stay that long. It would be fun to go again even if I am not in the shopping mode because we see so many friends there.

Thanks, Hey Nikel, we are neighbors! What part of south range are you? I'm just out of South Range in Superior. Heard the neighbors lost a calf to wolves a few weeks back. Another reason for making the decision. The other horses don't protect her anymore.

Very Small world indeed. I also used to board on Darrow Road about 15 years ago. Do we know each other? We have more coyotes than wolves but enough of the latter to want to keep the dogs in at night.

With the price of laptops now I would have bought a full laptop rather than a netbook. Most do not even have a DVD/cd drive, have too small a keyboard, and too small a screen. A friend just bought a Toshiba laptop for $328 at Walmart a few weeks back.

Thank you all for your support. Here is a pic I took recently of her relaxing. In the background is my 16 year old border collie mix.

After 30 years it is time to say goodbye to my first driving pony. She is 32 and will not make another Wisconsin winter. I have had her for 30 years and driven her most of those retiring her about 4 years ago. We travelled many miles together, did a few parades, some winter sleigh parades, but mostly trail driving. It has been a challenge trying to fill her pony shoes. She taught me how to drive, I did have a few accidents with her but nothing serious. She was always ready to go, loved to trot, very

I have a very cute grade pony about 40 inches tall and about 8 years old. I had started him driving a few years ago and he was doing quite well until..... we had a blowout. I ended up injured, life got in the way and we didn't do anything with him for 2 years. This summer we have hooked him 3 times and each time ended in a full blown runaway. He is very skittish about everything. Today I was ground driving him and came to the realization that I am not up to the training he will need. So, my question

Check the state ag laws in your state. It may be required that the papers must go with the horse. If the law is in your state it may be enough to get her to produce papers. Here is the Wisconsin Statute. 95.13 Misrepresenting breed of domestic animal. No person shall sell or barter or cause to be sold or bartered any domestic animal and represent, or cause to be represented that such domestic animal is a pure bred domestic animal, when in fact such domestic animal is not registered, or entitled to

You could talk to your Dad and see if the money really was a loan. If not, maybe he would write you a note and put pressure on your Mom to get the papers transfered. You could sell the horse without papers. The new owners might not think they are important enough for the hassle. Unless there was a written contract for board, it isn't likely you legally owe. Just some thoughts. I would probably opt for the second choice to avoid the hassle if possible. Unless he is tattooed or DNA'd there
