I got to wtch a little bit of the video on the AQHA world show driving classes. Pretty cool..no isues and hrses really working. Of course a little hard to tell given the quality of the video ..but no hea bobbing, crabbing or jerky motion. really the horses were moving well and I enjoyed watching the classes. I cannot stand watching WP classses and rarely do. Interesting to see how well the Winner of the Am and Jr class will do in the future..nice horse.

I'm 57 gong on 12 too. I was on the rail at shows as a kidsand I was a show Mom . I got into showing for myself at age 51 and love it. I do breed shows and saddle club and dressage schooling shows. My attitude is treat it all like practice, have fun because tht is waht I am there for. Sometimes I do well sometimes I bomb. But anyday on my horse showing off with friedns is a good day. My horse spooks at anything that he thinks has changed. Like if youmove the dresage letter over and inch or the wind is blowing and it rattles. If the letter had been rattling when he first swa it he swould be fine. Of course the reality is like most males he does not like change. I can see his point but sometimes it is ridiculous. He will even spook at hisshadow if the sun has not been out and then it suddenly comes out. Most of the time it is just a kind of shudder but sometimes he gets a little

At my lesson yesterday my horse wa so much more forward , on mel, round and just better it was amazing. I have been having a sinus infection and he had been having alergic conjuntivitis that made him head toss and shake. So I have been just free longing him over cavelltis and raised cavalettis. He was so much better I pan to continue this work !! He was using his back and hocks a lot better and he was softer and more on the bit. Plus he was actualy infront of instead of behind my leg. Congrts. I woul love to here more about your Kur. We are of the same gereration . I started riding in my teens and mostly wester. I got the opportunity to take dressage lessons and now am competing at the lower levels. I am starting to train 1st and will show training next year. But I want to do a Kur. Tell me about your Choreography and music. How did you get it done? I see the prices on the Kur designers websites and they are out of my budget.

I have artemisia polaned for mosquito control around my house. It works if is not too windy or is sheltered from the wind.

I am coping with a horse that is not forward and trying to also get a more vertical face. It seems to me when I get one I loose the other. It is better but sometimes my instructor forgets to say that on eis better when she is pushing me for the other. I feel discouraged at times too. But I try to remember I am paying her to tell me what is wrong so I can get it right.

I will add cotton gloves like the roppers use. I use them as mits to wash my horse apply all sorts of products and wipe down my hors just before we go in the ring. My Horse is mostly white so that is a big deal. I also use one for my boots and one for my clothes.
